Join Ride4Life NW In Making Awareness a Difference.

Ride4Life NW provides financial support for life-saving medical treatments and the care of pets whose families are in crisis. We help keep people and their beloved companions together during their most challenging times. All proceeds go directly to the individuals, families and their dogs we partner with.

Securing Life When It Hangs in the Balance.

Mission #1 — Securing Life When It Hangs in the Balance.

Let’s not sugarcoat this. People don’t lose their second chance at life in the operating room.
They lose it right after. You can have a donor.
You can have a surgical team ready.
You can be right there—on the edge of living again—And still get turned away. Not because you’re too sick

Not because you’re too sick.
Not because there’s no hope. But because you don’t have money.Because you can’t prove you’ll survive after they save you.Think about that. You’re given a chance to live…
and then asked if you can afford to keep it.And if the answer is no?That chance disappears. Just like that. That’s not rare.
That’s happening.Right now.Recovery isn’t just about medicine.
It’s about where you sleep.
It’s about whether you can afford your meds.
It’s about getting to your appointments.
It’s about holding your life together long enough to heal. And when that falls apart—so does everything else. That’s where we step in.Not later.
Not when it’s too late.Right there—when it matters. Our goal is simple:
$25,000 for each qualified recipient.Not a feel-good number.
Not a donation that fades away.A real fund. Locked. Protected.
Built to carry someone through the hardest part of their life. This covers what people actually need to survive:

  • A place to stay near the hospital
  • Medications they cannot miss
  • Transportation they cannot skip
  • Basic living expenses when they cannot work

Because healing doesn’t happen if survival is still a question. But here’s the part that should make you uncomfortable: This shouldn’t even be necessary. Your donation doesn’t just help one person breathe easier—
it forces a broken system to be seen. Right now, there is no real safety net. No immediate funding.
No emergency grants that show up when the call comes.
No system that moves fast enough to save someone who is running out of time. Nothing. So we take this fight beyond the patient. We walk into rooms most people never think about:                                      Companies.
Hospitals.
Employers.
Insurance providers.
Foundations.
Decision-makers. And we ask the question no one wants to answer: Why does this not exist yet?  Why are people still being denied life
because they can’t prove they won’t fall apart afterward?  We are pushing for change—real change.
Dedicated funds. Immediate support. Systems that don’t hesitate. But until that exists…we become the system. We stand in the gap when everything else fails. Because no one should survive surgery…
and then lose everything trying to stay alive. No one should be told,
“You could live, but you can’t afford it.” Sit with that. Because for someone out there, that’s not a sentence.
That’s reality. This is what we do. We don’t wait.
We don’t look away.
We don’t let people fall through. We turn donations into stability.
We turn stability into survival. And sometimes—we turn survival into the difference between life… and death.

No Dogs Left Behind

Securing Life When It Hangs in the Balance.

Mission #2 — No Dogs Left Behind

I’m not going to make this sound nice.

This isn’t a feel-good story.

This is what happened to me.

I was on dialysis.
Exhausted. Numb. Just trying to survive one day at a time.

Then the phone rang.

A kidney was available.

That call people pray for.
It doesn’t come with time.
It doesn’t come with a plan.
It comes

Mission #2 — No Dogs Left Behind

I’m not going to make this sound nice.

This isn’t a feel-good story.

This is what happened to me.

I was on dialysis.
Exhausted. Numb. Just trying to survive one day at a time.

Then the phone rang.

A kidney was available.

That call people pray for.
It doesn’t come with time.
It doesn’t come with a plan.
It comes like a shock:

“Get here now.”

And just like that—your life splits in two.

Before… and after.

And in that moment, everything gets left behind.

Including the one who never left you.

My dog.

No time to call anyone.
No time to figure it out.
No safety net.

I couldn’t be there for him.

While I was in a hospital bed fighting to stay alive—
he was going through the system.

Alone.

I looked for him.
I tried to find him.

I couldn’t.

He became just another one…
Dog left behind.

And in that moment—so did I. People talk about the miracle of transplant.
They don’t talk about what it takes from you to get there.

They don’t talk about the silence.
The loss.
The emptiness you wake up to after surviving.

This is why this exists.

No Dogs Left Behind.

Not as a slogan.
As a line we refuse to cross. Because I know what it feels like to walk out alive—
and realize you lost something that mattered just as much. So this is what we do. When that call comes—
we step in. Immediately. No delays. No excuses. We take your dog in.
We protect them.
We care for them like they are family—because they are.

  • Safe shelter
  • Medical care
  • Stability in the middle of chaos
  • Real love

Because while you’re fighting for your life—
your dog is still waiting for you. And when you come back…
they’re still there. Not gone.
Not lost.
Not another name in a system. Not left behind. And if you don’t come back—we don’t walk away. We stay. We stay for your dog.
We stay for your family.
We stay for the donor’s family—who gave everything so someone else could live. We carry that responsibility. We stay until your best friend is reunited with you. And if that reunion never comes—
we stay until they are safe, loved, and home. Because no one should fight to live…
and lose everything that gave their life meaning. And no dog should ever disappear into a system—
unseen, unfound, unloved. Not again.
Not on our watch.

Mission #3 — Healing, Presence, Action

So we ride.

Gnocchi, Kalinka, and I.

A dog, a man, a machine.

This is not a movement.

This is a call to action.

We ride for the ones who can’t.

For the person lying in a hospital bed, attached to a monitor… listening to every beep.

For the one in a dialysis chair, watching hours of their life disappear, hop

Mission #3 — Healing, Presence, Action

So we ride.

Gnocchi, Kalinka, and I.

A dog, a man, a machine.

This is not a movement.

This is a call to action.

We ride for the ones who can’t.

For the person lying in a hospital bed, attached to a monitor… listening to every beep.

For the one in a dialysis chair, watching hours of their life disappear, hoping the phone rings.

For the one breathing through a machine, waiting for lungs that haven’t come yet.

For the one who can’t see a future… just waiting for something—anything—to change.

For the one who just lost someone… and still said yes to giving life.

We ride for all of them.

Not with answers.

Not with promises we can’t control.

But with something just as real—presence.

A moment.

A look.

A conversation.

A reminder that they are not alone.

Because sometimes…

that small moment is the crack in the darkness.

The reason someone holds on one more day.

This year… we ride across a state.

Every mile honoring those who gave life.

Every stop carrying the weight of families, of names, of stories that deserve to be remembered.

Next year… we go bigger.

Across a continent.

An almost impossible attempt at a Guinness World Record.

Not for fame.

Not for recognition.

But to make it impossible to look away.

Because this is not about awareness anymore.

We already know.

This is about action.

A decision.

A conversation.

A “yes” that can save multiple lives.

My story is your story.

My ride is your ride.

I ride for those who can’t… yet.

And this—this is your call to action.
