 Securing Life When It Hangs in the Balance

For many patients, the greatest barrier to a life-saving transplant isn’t medical—it’s financial. Even when a donor is found and a hospital is ready, patients can be denied approval if they cannot guarantee post-transplant stability.

Ride4LifeNW exists to remove that barrier.

Under Mission #1, we work to secure a dedicated $25,000 support fund for each qualified transplant recipient. This protected, recipient-specific fund is used exclusively for essential post-transplant needs, including housing near transplant centers, medications and follow-up care, transportation to appointments, and basic living expenses during recovery.

This fund provides something critical: certainty—for hospitals, transplant teams, and families. Certainty that recovery won’t collapse under financial strain, and that a gift of life won’t be put at risk.

We step in before crisis hits, because no one should be denied a second chance at life due to financial instability. This mission turns donations into guarantees—and guarantees into lives saved.

No Dogs Left Behind

Because healing should never cost you your best friend.

No Dogs Left Behind is a core program of Ride4LifeNW, created from lived experience, loss, and a promise that no patient should have to choose between their health and their dog. After surviving a kidney transplant but losing her dog due to illness and recovery, this program was born to ensure others never face that same heartbreak.

We support patients undergoing transplants, cancer treatment, or major surgeries by providing temporary foster care, veterinary and behavioral support, and financial assistance for pet-related costs. Our goal is simple: keep dogs safe, cared for, and reunited with their families once recovery is complete.

In partnership with organizations like Cascade Life Alliance and the Oregon DMV, No Dogs Left Behind ensures that medical recovery planning includes the reality of pets—not ignores it.

Gnocchi, Ride4LifeNW’s traveling service dog, represents the heart of this mission: healing is better together.

Our promise: no forced surrenders, no forgotten companions, and no patient left wondering what happened to their dog.

At the heart of Ride4LifeNW is a truth learned the hard way: medicine keeps us alive—connection reminds us why. This mission exists to remind people facing illness that they are not alone.

We travel to hospitals, VA facilities, clinics, and community events to sit with those in the hardest moments—to say, I’ve been there. You don’t have to explain your pain. You matter. We ride for you. Ride4LifeNW was born in the quiet, isolating spaces where fear grows and hope feels distant.

Gnocchi, our service dog, brings healing without words. When he enters a room, something shifts—tension softens, smiles appear, and people are reminded they are more than patients. Even brief moments of calm, laughter, or connection can change everything.

Through our journeys, we carry and share stories of survival, loss, and courage—honoring donor families and ensuring their loved ones’ legacies continue to heal others.
